Verizon hotspot

Hello I'm new to the forum but longtime apple user. I have hotspot issue with a Verizon iPhone 5 jailbroke on 6.1.2, when I turn on hotspot my none of my devices pick it up ( ipad mini, laptop, friends iPhones) it worked a month ago but since then after googling the problem to death, calling Verizon tech support to no avail, I've done network resets, setting resets but nothing works.
The only thing I haven't tried is a restore but I don't want to lose the jailbreak. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!
