My Verizon iPhone 4 is giving me fits. Some time last week my phone started to go into "searching" mode and lose service altogether. I've tried the following fixes which only seem to last temporarily:
1. Power phone off and then back on;
2. 228 option on the phone;
3. Making sure to close muti-tasking; and
4. Airplane mode off and on.
This is very frustrating. I've talked to friends who also have Verizon iPhones and they have experienced the same.
