Verizon iPhone Voice and Other Functions

I know that on Verizon's iPhone you can't do data and voice at the same time but can you do something such as remain on a call and look through your contact list at the same time without having to drop the call? Thanks

Yup, absolutely. Browsing through notes, contacts and "offline" items can be done by double/single tapping the home button. Or, for contacts, there's literally a "Contact" button on the screen when you take it away from your face (proximity sensor), the screen'll light up and Contact should be on the middle lower right corner option.
