AppleInsider reports today that despite only having been on sale for four months, Verizons iPhone 4 has already managed to grab nearly one third of the US iPhone 4 market from AT&T. Mobile analytics company Localytics has published the figures in a report based on data compiled from app usage during the last week of the month. According to Localytics figures, Verizons iPhone 4 started strongly after launch, quickly seizing a 20% share. During the Spring, the Verizon phones rate of growth slowed somewhat, before enjoying a big boost in May and June, up from 25.9% to 32.3%. AT&T still has the lions share, of course, at 68%, but it will be interesting to see if Verizon can continue to make inroads into AT&Ts iPhone 4 carrier share in the second half of the year, especially as Verizon has now switched over to a similar tiered data usage pricing system to that of AT&Ts since July 7.
