Years ago before I had my iPhone, I had set up my Verizon voice mail to be very simple. I used the "personal options" setting to take off the crap part of the message like "press 5 to leave a call back number", etc.
When I call in and listen to my messages, I do NOT want to listen to the added info of when the call came in and the number it came from. It is shown on my phone, I don't need to listen to it. The "third party" Verizon rep couldn't help me, so they sent me to Apple, who could not help either. Not sure why because this is not an Apple issue.
So, in other works, I don't have any personal options like I used to..only to change password, greeting, and language. Anyone have any ideas? Here is a pdf of the options I use to have:
