Video question, iphone 4

Hi, I have an old iphone 3G, it's jailbroken so I can record video through Cycorder, even when I lock the screen...
it keeps recording video even when the screen looks black/inactive.

I recently tried a friend's iphone 4 which is not jailbroken and noticed that through it's video application
when you lock the screen it stops recording video.

Does anyone know if there's a way to keep recording video on an iphone 4, even when the screen is locked?

Another app, or maybe jailbreaking it and using cycorder on it?
Or if the settings can be changed?
Is Cycorder even available for iphone 4?

I'm not sure about recording after the phone locks. Why not just set it so the phone never locks?
