Video streaming app Vimeo gets a makeover for iPhone

Vimeo is a wonderful video streaming service that lets users discover artsy and colorful videos from different fields. And we have some good news for mobile device users who like using Vimeo on their gadgets, iPhone included. They will be happy to know that the service just got a pretty neat upgrade.

According to the Vimeo mobile team, the new version is “awesomer, sleeker, more beautiful, way awesomer, and also much more awesomer than ever before”. The new Vimeo makes it easier for users to watch all kinds of video. Also, the important social sharing function has been improved greatly so now “you can do what you want, when you want, really easily”. Found something you like and want to let your friends know? The new Vimeo app makes it incredibly easy to catch your friends’ eyes.

Also, the editing tool has been removed from the app, after Vimeo conducted a survey and found that not so many people were using the functionality. If users have a video they would like to share they can do so by uploading them on the Vimeo servers. Uploads can be paused and restarted. If you have bad connectivity at some point, the upload will be placed on hold, and when your connection to the Internet resumes, the upload will resume where it left off.

Videos can be watched even if users are uploading something, as the upload will go in the background and will not annoy the person watching. This is an app definitely worth trying.
