Its probably not that likely that many iPhone owners will be wanting to switch over to a Windows Phone from their Apple phone, although there are doubtless some people out there thinking about making the switch, and thats clearly the customer that Microsoft is seeking to engage with this rather ingenious idea that it has come up with, as highlighted by 9to5 Mac. According to the report, in order to get iPhone and Android users to appreciate the finer points of Windows Phone 7, Microsoft has set up an HTML 5 site that basically duplicates the Windows Phone 7 user experience on your own smartphone. 9to5 Mac explains that the demo doesnt use any of your own personal phone data, such as contacts, but it still manages to provide a comprehensive walkthrough of Windows Phones main features, which Im sure will prove interesting even to those iPhone owners not thinking of switching. The demo also works on your computer browser, although the touch screen components are unavailable of course.
