I have been playing around with a 3G. I have discovered that with the correct versions of redsn0w and tiny umbrella I can hop between FW 4.1, 4.2, 3.1.3 and 3.1.2.
i was stuck in BB 5.14. for a while but now have gone to 06.15.00. I have discovered that I can down grade that to 5.13.
Upgrading to 4.2 on earlier advice in this forum seemed to dump me in 5.14. and hence no ultras0w unlock.
Is there any benefit to doing this downgrading the BB to 5.13. ?
Can I upgrade to 4.2 without losing BB?
Will I ever be able to get a 3G back to something that Apple iTunes will tolerate?
