What does everyone think of a folding iPhone? Would it be an instant buy for you?

I would need a few things to get on board. It would have to not sacrifice the durability of the iPhone, meaning the same awesome IP rating we get right now. I want the crease of the fold to be invisible, that would drive me crazy seeing a faint line in the middle of the screen all the time. Finally, it should start around the same price as the Pro Max model. I would not want to spend more than $1500 USD on an iPhone.

What do y'all think?

I think it would not be possible to make the fold in the screen invisible when unfolded. There’s also the real possibility of the screen failing at the fold after long use.
At the present time, the folding phones on the market are more of a gimmick than a practical necessity.

The screen could and will fail for sure. I think there could be a way to get rid of the crease, maybe with a different folding mechanism or a different material than is being used now. Most of the folds use a U-shape hinge to mitigate the crease.

The flip foldables like the one in the picture I used are a gimmick, but a foldable iPhone that turns into an iPad could be really useful I think.
