I've been busy the last couple of days with other issues and today I looked at iTunes and spotted what appeared to be a bunch of duplicate songs with clouds next to them.

I don't use the cloud and I don't want to use it. Can someone give me an idea of what is going on and is there a way to keep this from happening?

Thank you. I've turned it off.

I still don't know why iTunes is putting my music in their cloud. I use Amazon but again, thanks for the help.

I dont think iTunes is putting your music in the cloud, just telling you what is eligible (or not) to be put in the cloud

Again, interesting. I never buy my music from iTunes. I've bought 1 album in the past 10 years I would say. I wonder what makes it "eligible?"

If it can be matched in iTunes huge database it is eligible
Things like voice memos and home recordings are ineligible
Purchased is obvious
Waiting, I guess is waiting to see which it is (eligible or not)
I dont use iTunes Match because my music database is WAAAAY too big for the song number limit and I cant be bothered chopping it up into 18 different libraries
