What is ptpd crash Iphone?

Hey,

I have a jailbroke Iphone 4S on 5.0.1 with Verizon. I have crash reporter installed and it showed over 100 ptpd crashes in one day. I'm not sure what that's from. It has happened on 2 occasions with over 100 crashes in the same day in the past week. Does anyone know what ptpd crash is or what causes them? Thanks!

ptpd is a Provision Time Protocol for Unix systems, if the crashes aren't affecting the way your device functions, don't worry about it.

What jmills said. I have CrashReporter installed too and.any crash reports in there. When you load your device with unsigned extensions, crashes are going to happen. It is normal.

It's when you go into a safe mode or respring loop or something is when you need to worry about the crash reports.

However if you have that many crash reports in such a short amount of time, then I think a restore is in order.
