What is Verizon iphone?

Hi im from Australia and i just want to understand what Verizon iphone is? As i understand it its a brand that has released their form of iphone. Or is it a network? There has been no talk of it here so thats why you guys are the best resources for this question, thanks

Sorry, should have clarified. Verizon is a cell network in the US that has been holding out on the iPhone for a really long time. There have been quite a number of people waiting for it to hit, thus the renewed interest and burst of enthusiasm. Same iPhone as everyone else, just a CDMA radio.
