whats app no working on iphone 4 it does not connect

is anyone else having this problem, i re installed the app did not work, tried restoin my iphone 4 i get the error 1004 message then it goes in recovery then i use recboot to boot it out, but why is my whats app not working everything else is?

Lately the whatsapp servers have been messed up and it will be off sometimes for a day at a time... Not sure if it's just tons of traffic or what but it sure is annoying!
