Currently Apple rightly has the tittle 'iconic devices', the death f Steve Jobs we have lost possibly the strongest driving force of innovation and far sight so what of the future?
Not talking Iphone 5 or iPad 3 but way further in the future, the iPhone was a startlingly brilliant combination of the best portable music device - the iPod, and a brilliant new smartphone in one bound.
hocked and reeling the other big players while scrambling to design something to compete, the iPhone 3GS and then the sucker punch Iphone 4 were released.
The style, quality, design and innovation leaps made have not been anywhere near matched, i wonder can they ever be - even by Apple post SJ?
If this is to happen then a 'wish list' needs to be made, things like the first touch less transactions using your phone is being trialled in some Paris Hotels. Means you can walk into the hotel open the room with your phone, which also books you in. No need to go to reception and brave rhe snooty receptionists (just made for the Mr & Mrs Smith's ).
That will tech will eventually roll out to replace credit cards, but not that earth shattering imho at least until it encompasses air travel, and welded into the wider needs of every day transactions.
Will future phones/tablets be made of very flexible materials? Directly tap into internet ready Tv sets for larger display needs? imagine the games experience advantages, you could be imitating rolling a spliff in GTA14 while having smelly vision aid's realism of a drugs bust scene, or actually apply a bandage to save a team mate in COD5.
Where do you see it going in the future?
