Yesterday BGR published exclusive photos of a white T-Mobile iPhone prototype that Apple is using for testing purposes. You can read more about it and watch the video in Phils earlier post here on iPhoneforums.net. Now 9to5 Mac has revealed that the T-Mobile iPhone that is shown in the BGR pictures has an A5 chip inside. The A5 chip is Apples newest chip, which is currently powering the iPad 2, and over the past couple of weeks or so theres been a lot of speculation about whether or not the next iPhone, which is most likely due to be released in September 2011, will have the A5 chip or not. Some reports say yes, some say no. So, bearing all that in mind, its certainly very interesting to see that this latest prototype build to emerge from Apple, the N94, is fitted with the A5 chip. 9to5 Mac adds that the phone sounds a lot like the iPhone 4S that they wrote about on April 21, which is also a prototype iPhone with an A5 processor that has been given to game developers to help them familiarise themselves with the capabilities of the new chip and get their games ready ahead of time. 9to5 Mac adds that it is not yet known if the phone that BGR featured yesterday is a prototype iPhone 4S or an iPhone 5.
