why does this song keep playing?

every time i connect my iphone to my car stereo the same song starts playing... i think i did have that song on my phone at one time long ago but i don't have it any more. so why does it keep playing? i checked my playlists in itunes and on the phone.... nothing. i even deleted all songs from my phone. but that same song starts playing whenever i connect it to the car stereo.

whats going on here?

Is it possible you used that song as a ringtone at one time? With all music deleted from your iPhone, this is about the only place for a song to be.

i checked....def not a ringtone... it plays the whole song.

i have, actually.. my wife's iphone does the same thing when connected to my radio. it plays a song that hasn't been on her phone for a long time. I've cleared the memory on the radio... but that's only for clearing Bluetooth devices. it doesn't store music or anything like that.
