Wi-fi word symbol

I recently noticed that the word Wi-Fi is showing up at the top of my iPhone in the symbol bar. What does it mean?

This means that Wi-Fi Calling is available.

I have enabled that feature but have never seen that symbol. Wonder why it's not working for me.


I enabled this feature on Monday and promptly forgot about it until I read this thread. I posted my whine, and you guessed it, it now is displaying.


Actually, it disappeared again. Wonder if this is an AT&T bug or something else.
