Depending on what wireless provider and/or data plan you're on w/ them... your 4S will work as a Hotspot natively.

Well basically what I'm trying to do is find a way to share my data from my iPhone 4S that has a data plan with my iphone 3G that has to use wifi. I was able to get wifi signal from a guy that has a fox fi app downloaded on his Samsung.

Your 4S is capable of being a Hotspot w/o the need of app. What wireless provider are you with?

I'm using BTC in the Bahamas . That's the network provider

Okay... does BTC allow your 4S to be used as a mobile hotspot or do they charge you for that option?

They didn't say when I got the data plan, but I will try to find out.
