will not charge

I just plugged in a cheap usb cable from eBay and it worked for 10mins, phone was even synching.
Then I got the "this accessory cannot be used for charging".
I picked up the phone and it was extremely hot.
Now, it won;t charge, even the wall charger does not work.
I tried the reset, tried taking the SIM out, tried other cables...nothing.
Could the fuse be fried?

Can I just buy a replacement charge dock rather than taking it to Apple? It's long out of warranty so I may as well try and fix it myself.
Do the charging dock ports contain the fuses as well? Will using a cheao charging dock give off more phone rays, I heard they also have the receiver/antenna?

I recommend you not to use local chargers because they break easily and they are not trusted. Me myself have tried opening a local charger to find out the problem, and it is due to a loose wire. Just use the original one.
