WordPress announced today that it has updated its iOS app by enabling notifications. The new feature means that you can get Push Notifications on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. It’s actually very useful because it means that you’ll be able to keep connected to your WordPress blog on the go, and moderate comments as soon as they come in. Basically, since the update, the instant that you get a comment on your WordPress blog, you’ll get a notification sent to your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Along with the notification, you’ll also see the commenter’s name, and a short snippet of the comment that they’ve left. When you swipe the comment, you’ll be able to see all of it. The new update also makes it easier to moderate on the go, with a new “Swipe-to-moderate” feature, which lets you quickly Approve/Unapprove a comment, as well as send it to Trash or Spam. You can also reply to new comments from the app. The WordPress blog also reminds us that you can use the WordPress iOS app to read your friends’ blogs, via the Read button, which opens the mobile version of the WordPress Reader.
