iDownload Blog has a great story today, based around a new video posted on YouTube of a man who has programmed Siri to control pretty much everything in his house., including thermostat, garage door, and TV. According to the original report on The Next Web, YouTuber Elvis Impersonator (thats his name, not his job!) was inspired to set up his house this way after getting a Raspberry Pi computer as a Christmas present, and after having seen SiriProxy back at the end of 2011, from whence onwards he had been dreaming of using voice commands to run his house. Elvis Impersonator is also keen to promote the SiriProxy dev community, and has therefore been very free with sharing information about the plugins that he used to set up his house in this way, as well as the components that hes using, such as the Nest Thermostat.
