Xpost: newbie help-hangs on rotation circle aft ultrasn0w install, after hit springbd

Hi there, hope this is ok,
I posted this in the 3G section of forum, but perhaps this is a better location?
did searches and could not find a similar issue.

I think I'm close to unlocking my 3G, but some configuration is in the way!
Please help.

You should restore a custom 4.2.1 firmware created with sn0wbreeze, make sure to check the "hacktivate" option under the general settings, then once the firmware has been restored you can install ultrasn0w and you should be unlocked. The reason it's not working now is because the phone is not activated which is why you can't get past the emergency call screen.

thanks so much, you are fabulous!!!!

I had issues, since I don't usually download much software, I accidentally downloaded "spam" software, onto my PC (beware of big download buttons!) installed it, realized it wasn't it then went to uninstall it all and accidentally removed some system files! arg.
after a night of sleep and a "system restore" I finally got around to doing your above instructions.

and it's DONE! Yeah!

I can make calls in and out now, with my unlocked phone!

hopefully someone else can read this and get a clue on how to proceed!
