Yahoo! Messenger for iPhone App Gets Voice and Video With New Update

Yahoo has announced today via its Y! Mobile Blog that it has upgraded its Yahoo! Messenger App for iPhone so that users can now make free voice and video calls to their messenger friends, as well as low cost calls to land line or mobile phones, and even to international numbers. The update also includes other features such as multitasking, instant notifications and free SMS, plus notification of every single message that you receive, whether or not the app is running or open. There’s also a new “show and tell” feature that enables you to capture and share iPhone photos and videos in real-time with your friends on Yahoo! Messenger. The Y! Mobile Blog post on the upgrade concludes by saying that the app has generally been enhanced and souped-up in terms of speed and simplicity, and should therefore provide an all-round smoother user experience.
