Yikes! iCloud says my device has never been backed up. Now what?

First off, I have restored my phone on several previous occasions from an iCloud backup. What might have happened that I no longer see that option?

Next, the phone has stopped retrieving email. This started after I reset an AT&T password on Monday.

So without completely resetting the phone, is there a way to clear the settings and then just reenter the email passwords?

You could go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. This will reset all settings to factory defect, without deleting any data. You will have to re-enter passwords for sites that normally remember you, though.
