Hi there.

I recently bought a song on iTunes on my phone. I went on another Apple device and tried downloading the song with the same iTunes account, and it said "You have already purchased this item. Would you like to buy it again?".

Is it free to get it again on another device? Buying somethin on the App Store is always free if you get it again on another device because it clearly says "Would you like to download it again for free?". I'm not sure if this applies for iTunes also.

did you try it from another iphone with your account or from a computer?

Sync the songs with main computer then you can upload to other iPods,iPhones,iPads,apple tv do not try to down load as it is chargeable. Apps are free to down load again once you have paid for the first one.
