Hello friends, while using YouTube I selected video quality 240p but after closing all i again started YouTube app its automatically selects auto mode settings. In my iPad I close asking ever time option but in iPhone I did not find option.

I have the same problem in reverse. I always select 1080 if available and it always reverts back into auto. I'm going to watch for a possible answer here too [emoji106]

You could try deleting the YouTube App and then reinstalling it. It should revert to the original settings.

Nothing different same video goes YouTube by default mode.

I also have the opposite problem, I select 1080 but next time it reverts back to auto, which is usually 720, but it changes, sometimes it's less. I'm guessing it's based on quality of connection. I think it's the YouTube app itself that does it, so it's something YouTube would have to change on their end to allow permanent changes.
