Pocket Gamer is reporting that the beautiful and critically acclaimed game Zen Bound is currently available for a limited time as a free download to celebrate the November 16 release of Zen Bound 2 on Mac and PC. The version in the App Store has been republished, and is the only version of the first game that will be supported by future updates. Pocket Gamer notes that Zen Bound was one of the first games to be published by Chillingo, which has gone on to become hugely successful with monster smashes such as Angry Birds, and has just been bought by EA. Original developer Secret Exit has published this updated version under its own name.
If youre wondering what Zen Bound is all about, its a meditative puzzle game with a dreamily relaxing soundtrack, where you paint wooden sculptures by wrapping them with rope, and which has won many awards since its release due to its innovative gameplay.
