3GS with White screen

Hi all,

I really need some help! Iphone has a white screen of death.


I have tried the hold down home button = still white screen I saw apple symbol showed and disappear and the white screen and stay with it.


I connected to itunes, and did a restore. Still white screen. Itunes indicate can not restore with error 1604


The white screen just wont go and phone is totally useless....

please help me

Try to factory restore the iOS using another computer.

fiddle around with ribbon 1 and 2, might help, had same issue, resolved for a few days, then got worse, got iphoe 4 now

I open it and found the battery ribbon cable was broken. I replaced it and able to turn it on. Thanks.
