MacRumors reports that Cowen and Company analyst Timothy Arcuri has told investors that all three of Apple’s 2017 iPhone line-up will have 3GB of RAM.
This is in contrast to another recent report from Taiwan’s TrendForce, which said that only the 5.5-inch iPhone and the 5.8-inch iPhone will have 3GB of RAM, with the 4.7-inch iPhone only having 2GB of RAM, just as the current iPhone 7 does now.
Arcuri said that the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhones will all have the same storage options as the current iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, i.e., 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB, and the 5.8-inch model will have just two options, 64GB and 256GB.
As far as the battery is concerned, Arcuri says that the 5.8-inch model will have longer battery life thanks to two battery packs.
Arcuri also agreed with KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo’s report that said that all three of the new iPhones will still have Lightning connectors with faster charging via USB Type-C Power Delivery.
Both Arcuri and Kuo are well-sourced and highly respected analysts, so there is a very good chance that their reports are accurate.
