App Store Update

Hi, I bought an iPhone X the other day. Everything seems to be going well, but the App Store icon tells me that I need to update Apple Store. When I touch the UPDATE button it won't update. It just keeps showing a numeral one over the icon. The updates automatic downloads is on in settings. I have tried rebooting the phone. I am able to add apps from the App Store.

I'd like to get rid of the unresponsive notice to update.

Just try deleting the Apple Store app and then re-download it. This will install the current version.
