App stuck on "waiting"

I tried to download stumbleupon and after I hit install when the app goes on home screen it got stuck before install. Powered off then on ....... No change. Please help.

The App store has been down this evening. I tried to download some updates and had the same thing happen. I'd give it a while and try again later.

Thanks Dave. Do you think the app will stop "waiting"?

I just closed the App Store app. That will stop it. As a matter of fact I just went back in and tried it this morning a few minutes ago and it updated 4 apps with no problem. I think it should work now, but you might need to first close the App Store app and then reopen it.

For other people, if it doesn´t work with suggested solution - a reboot solved it for me once
