Apple and financial partner Goldman Sachs are offering temporary payment relief to Apple Card customers impacted by the recent fires in Los Angeles. Under Apple’s Disaster Relief Program, eligible individuals can postpone their upcoming monthly payment without accruing interest for that billing cycle.

The program applies to Apple Card holders residing in a region that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has officially declared a national disaster zone. Impacted customers will receive notifications from Apple, but they can also directly contact Apple Card Support via the Messages app to enroll.

Once enrolled, Apple Card users can skip their payment for the month of enrollment, and the account will remain in good standing. While the standard purchase APR will apply for the next month, no interest or penalties are charged for the skipped payment during the relief period.

Apple first introduced its Disaster Relief Program when the Apple Card launched, extending similar support to customers affected by hurricanes and other natural disasters. Apple CEO Tim Cook announced that the company also intends to donate to support victims and aid ongoing recovery efforts in Los Angeles.

This temporary relief underscores Apple’s commitment to customer well-being and provides short-term financial flexibility to those facing hardship from the fires in the Los Angeles area. Customers in need of assistance are encouraged to reach out to Apple Card Support through the Messages app for further guidance and enrollment.
