According to a new report from 9to5Mac's Mark Gurman on Thursday, it looks like Apple isn't stopping with just the iPod Classic. The report claims that Apple is looking to discontinue the iPod Shuffle as well. The Shuffle has had a good run and gone through a few iterations, however sales have been declining in the non-iPod Touch market.
Apple doesn't even bother mentioning iPods in its quarter sales calls anymore, so that could be another hint. If you ask me, the iPod Shuffle is the only iPod worth owning if not an iPod Touch. It's small, compact and great for exercise. Apple has recently told its stores that it is running short on stock of the device, could this be the end and demise of our little buddy?Apple has warned its retail employees that shuffle supplies will be short for an unspecified period of time and that customers seeking to buy a shuffle via a retail store should be directed to Apple’s online store
