Apple No Longer Planning on Adding Smart Connector to iPhone 7

Back in March we saw an alleged iPhone 7 shell leak out of China. The shell showed that this year's iPhone would include rumored features, such as the dual-lens camera and less antenna bands.

One feature also surprisingly showed up at the bottom of the device, a Smart Connector, currently only found on the iPad Pro. On Friday, Japanese blog Mac Otakara reports that Apple is no longer planning on including the Smart Connector on the iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus.

The reason for the change of plans in unclear. However Mac Otakara is usually a reliable source when it comes to supply chain leaks.
