Apple Officially Releases iOS 6 for the other iPhones, the iPod Touch, and the iPad

It's here folks! Apple just released iOS 6 for their other devices beyond just the new iPhone 5. You can now grab the newest version Apple's OS for your older iPhones, your iPod Touch, and your iPad. Our own amazing admin, Unleashed, went to the trouble of sharing some descriptions of the new iOS right here in the forums. Hit up the source link below for more details.

To grab yours ASAP just follow these instructions:

Go into Settings
Hit General
Hit Software Update
You should be presented with all the details about the update.
Hit Download and Install

Downloaded and updated, seems a little more smooth to operate and it is a little snappier.

Maps is somewhat of a disappointment, but its something for Apple to build on.

So far I like it!

Is it even worth downloading for the i4? I heard most the features aren't even useable.

I can't say if the 4 is worth it or not, but my 4S seems better with it.

iOS 6 installed easily on my wife's 3rd generation iPad. Took a while, but it works great!

I was able to install IOS 6 on my iphone really easily.

I simply can not stand the new Maps app and search. Its like having a generic Dash Mounted GPS with hardly any POI's installed.
Of course none of the apps I have installed that utilize Google Maps work correctly and continue to point me to the web version of Google Maps.

I know it just was released and Devs have to update their apps, but man very disappointing and I feel like we are Beta Testing.

Siri on the other hand is spot on and very responsive. Its like we have an adult version opposed to a 12year old reading a comic book and responding when he/she feels like it. LOL
