As a result of the lawsuit filed by Monster against Beats, Apple has decided to revoke Monster's 'Made For iOS' license. The former company filed a lawsuit against Beats back in January for skipping out on potential proceeds made from the Apple acquisition.

Monster’s general counsel David Tognotti claims that the license being revoked is in direct retribution for filing the suit. He goes on to state that "It shows a side of Apple that consumers don’t see very often," and that "Apple can be a bully".

Monster and Apple have worked together for years according to Tognotti. Close to 1,000 of Monster's 4,000+ products hold the MFi license, forcing the company to redesign, rebrand, and even pull numerous products on the shelves.

The status of Monster's Beats lawsuit is currently pending at the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California.

Perhaps Monster should learn to not bite the hand that feeds them.
