The new beta firmware, available through Apple's developer portal adds the promised Portrait camera mode on the iPhone 7 Plus. Portrait camera allows iPhone 7 Plus owners to snap photos with an added 'bokeh' effect, a feature shown off at Apple's fall event.

"The Portrait mode, which displays a beta notification prominently on first launch, resides to the right side of the standard photo mode in your camera app. There is no zooming, digital or otherwise, in Portrait mode. Instead, the Portrait mode exclusively uses the 56mm lens to shoot the image and the wide angle lens to gather the perspective data that allows it to generate a 9-layer depth map."
Other than the new camera feature, Apple promises a slew of bug fixes and improvements to its latest firmware. We're sure there are things Apple didn't list in its changelog, we'll be sure to keep our readers updated as changes are found.
