MacRumors reports that the Apple Store iOS app is about to get a facelift as part of Sundays major retail upgrade, which is set to involve not just Apples retail stores, but also the iOS app. MacRumors says that it has information from a source that the new-look app will launch this Sunday, and will have full support for the customisation of build-to-order Macs, just as in the online store, including processor, memory, hard drive and software customisations. This is a big step up from the current iOS Apple Store app, which only provides set configurations for each model.
MacRumors says that although it believes that Apple also has big plans to revamp the online store, based on several recent job postings, it has not heard about any significant changes happening to the online store this weekend as part of the retail overhaul.
