Home Sharing, the feature which allows users of iOS devices to access their iTunes library from anywhere within their house, has been removed by Apple with the release of the most recent iOS 8 beta. And now, following a public outcry, it seems that the company is looking to reinstate the feature with the public release of iOS 9.
Apple's SVP of Internet Software and Services, Eddy Cue, had been asked on Twitter what is Apple going to do with regards to the Home Sharing situation on iOS 8.4. Cue tweeted out the following - "we are working to have Home Sharing in iOS 9."
Albeit it wasn't available in the early iOS 8.4 beta, the release notes did mention that Home Sharing's absence was a bug. It's great to see that Apple is working on bringing back this feature, as not everybody is going to opt for a $14.99 Apple Music Family Plan.
