The long awaited and rumored iPhone 5C is expected to be unveiled at Apple's September 10th event, followed by it's release sometime later in Q3. While most Apple fanatics will be going with the superior iPhone 5S, folks in emerging markets will more so cash in for budget iPhone. Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty believes that the iPhone 5C will make a huge splash in China's smartphone market.

In a new research note, Huberty writes that the iPhone 5C may even take over Samsung's lead in the market, as long as the budget device supports China Mobile's 3G and 4G networks. According to a survey of 2,000 potential smartphone buyers, the iPhone 5C could take over 23% of China's smartphone sales. Patrons taking the survey stated that they would pay as much as US$486 for such a device, which was over 22% of what the analyst expects the selling point to be.
