According to a new note to investors from well-sourced KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apples new budget iPhone, thought to be called the iPhone 5C, is not so much of a budget option after all! BGR writes that according to a 9to5 Mac report on Kuos latest research note, Apple is set to charge between $400 and $500 for the iPhone 5C when it goes on sale this fall. Kuo also says that the iPhone 5C is seen by Apple as the replacement for the iPhone 5, which he says will cease shipment at the end of Q3 2013, effectively ending Apples current pattern of discounting its most recent iPhone (which in this case would be the iPhone 5) when its replaced by a newer model. Kuo adds that Apple will still sell the iPhone 4S as a budget option in emerging markets, though, despite getting rid of the iPhone 5. Kuo also reveals that he has heard from his sources China Mobile will finally be getting the iPhone, and will start selling the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C before the end of the year.
