AppleInsider reports today that AT&T has offered to settle with the Californian man who recently sued the company and won in small claims court because he said that AT&T was throttling his unlimited 3G data plan. The iPhone owner, Matthew Spaccarelli, was awarded $850 by the court last month, which was a little short of the $10,000 that he had originally asked for! Instead, the judge awarded him $85 per month for the rest of the 10 months left on his contract with AT&T. AT&T originally said that it would appeal the ruling, but the Associated Press reports that AT&T has contacted Spaccarelli with a view to settling with him, as well as asking him not to divulge that the company had approached him to talk about a settlement. Spaccarelli didnt want to play ball, though, and posted AT&Ts legal correspondence with him online, as well as refusing to settle, because he says that all that matters to him is winning the case.
