State of Play, the makers of award-winning cardboard cut-out puzzler Lume, announced today that the game will be released for iOS on February 23, as well as for Mac. The game reached the finals of the Independent Games Festival 2012, with a nomination for Excellence in Visual Arts, and has had massive success on the PC. Created by the makers of the hit iOS game Headspin: Storybook, Lume is a game with a unique style all its own, with a handmade set filmed in sumptuous high definition. The iPhone 4 and 4 and iPad versions of the game now have a higher resolution than the original, so you could say that they show the game at its very best.
The games storyline sees you playing as a young girl called Lumi, who discovers that her granddad has gone missing, and that at the same time, all the power to his house has failed. In order to help restore power and find granddad, you must immerse yourself in Lumes photoreal world and solve ingenious paper puzzles, and at the same time uncover a deeper mystery behind the power blackout. Lume is beautifully animated with handcrafted care, and is designed to test your visual, aural and memory skills.

We have had fantastic feedback from fans of the PC game, its been great to be able to bring it to a new audience. In fact we'd designed the original with iOS devices in mind and really delighted we can finally bring it to the handheld market, it feels like a perfect home for the game.
