How exactly does this work? Are all your apps backed up and stored off your phone somewhere? How do you get them back onto your phone if it is replaced for some reason?

you have to create a dropbox account and the hit the restore button at the bottom of course assumming you have already back up your phone befgore. Its that simple. Hope this helps. It has a guid attached that will help. if you get stuck. I read that a lot. But make sure you back up the apps you want to restore.

If you don't want dropbox it will also save all of the details to a Contact in your contact list that it creates. This is how I use it, I didn't know about dropbox linking with Pkg Backup actually.

Yes it is - I use Facetime while im out and about all the time now as long as I have a good 3G signal

I am an iPhone newbie and was curious as to why you would want to trick your phone into thinking it was on 3G instead of wifi? Does one have an advantage over the other, besides speed?

so you can use wifi apps such as facetime over 3g. Nice little hack

Now I just need a app that works like the droid(just check the contacts you want to forward to) for forwarding sms messages and I will be happy

Yes, it's called 3G unrestrictor. Let's u fool any app to think its on wifi, when you're actually on 3G
