No idea but As your iPhone is covered, have Apple sort it out.

It's quite likely. The repair shop should be able to run some tests to confirm it.

Hermany and Nimsal: even though you think you are in the same boat you are not. The answers given are crossing and I think confusing you. The iphone 6 is still under warranty and Apple must fix it thru an Apple Store. Contact Apple about how to proceed if you do not have a local Apple Store. Service by anyone else could void your warranty. The iphone 5 is not under warranty unless it was purchased new from Apple less than a year ago. That does not mean it can not be fixed. Have a proper technician assess the problem.
