camera flash goes blinks when incoming call or alarm activates.

I just purchased the iphone 4s about a week ago. Very first iphone ever so bare with me. Since a couple days ago i noticed that when a get an incoming call or my alarm goes off the camera flash blinks. I dont recall this happening until just a few days ago. Since I've had the phone I've downloaded 2 ringtones and a flashlight app. I deleted the flashlight app thinking that maybe it was the app itself messing with the functioning of the flash. However it still does it. It don't do it for every imcoming call though. Thats why Im stumped on what it could possible be. Im worried that if I dont get it fixed it will burn out. Please help.

It won't burn out. It is a feature.

Launch Settings.
Click General.
Click Accessibility.
LED Flash for Alerts - Set it to OFF.
