Don't listen to the negative people. This is not a bad thing at all, it helps people that don't have a upgrade because they can get the phone cheaper then retail, and you can make some money if you are not planning on upgrading in the next 2 years.
This is how i got my Sprint 4s 32g white phone last tue. I bought it on craigslist for $600, guy i bought it from had a 2nd line with a upgrade so he paid $299 and sold it for $600 (truth be told he could have made way more on ebay for it). I did not have a upgrade since i had a evo 3D, so retail price for me with tax would have been $795, so i saved myself $195 bucks. Since they i have also sold my iPod 4th gen 32g for $200 and Evo 3D for $225, so ended up costing me $175 to upgrade with no contract i can live with that for sure.
