Can't change email alert tone on 5s

Have a 5s which I made a few ringtones myself. I can change any alert tone for anything on the 5s except for the email alert tone. Tried to set email alert to a iPhone stock tone, and it doesn't change from the original one I assigned a year ago. When I change to a different alert tone, it doesn't change the sound from the original one set up long ago. I set it to the "swoosh" sound and it doesn't change, even though the swoosh sound is checked.

I have 3 email accounts setup on the 5s. One email account is shut off, while the 2 are active.

Any ideas why this is happening? Can't change only the email alert tone. All other sounds can be changed.

Solved the problem.

Had to go to the notification center and select each email account and there is the option to select the alert tone.
