Capacitive Stylus?

I was reading about a capacitive stylus for my 5S. From what I read they will not work.

I bought a Capacitive Stylus/Styli Touch Screen Cellphone Tablet Pen from Amazon (pack of 10 for $10.)
They work fine.
What am I missing?

A capacitive stylus should work on the screen of an iPhone 5s or any other iOS device. Not al styli are created equal, some work better than others. If possible test it with the device you intend using it with before buying one.
